Full Description

The Weld Preparation Tool Assembly is intended for tube-end preparation in nuclear heat exchangers and other tubular equipment where tube-end welding is required. The legacy catalogue describes trimming tube ends flush with the tubesheet face and chamfering the tube edge before welding. Special cutters may be arranged to perform facing and chamfering in one operation. Tooling selection should be based on the tube material, dimensions, tubesheet arrangement, and approved welding procedure.
